(sunflower babies, about ready to harvest:)
hello! it has been a VERY busy two days at school. today was the first morning in 4 days that i have been able to get out and walk before school starts. the rain just keeps on coming down.has anyone seen the sun??? i think it is missing... the temputure was 35 degrees at 630 this morning. (there is a teputure gage just outside the inn's front door) i got out there and walked anyway. after about 30 minutes i could unwrap the scarf from around my face. only my eyes could get away with not being covered. this evening walking home from school was just as cold. i am not used to this at all. okay, enough about the weather here....
this is "Living Lasagna" . we made recipe yesterday with our teams. i was very surprised how close to the cooked version this tastes. it even looks very close to cooked lasagna. the secret here is putting it in the dehydrator for about 1 hour at 130. the temp never gets that high but the top layer of almond cheese gets browned and gives the cooked look.
we are making so many dishes everyday. we are learning business skills, chefing, team building, management, positive communication, presentation and on and on. last night's homework was to write 150 word introduction about myself as it relates to raw food.
i am impressed with the program here. i trust very much that they know what they are doing. besides all that i am having a lot of fun and hanging out with bright & shining people everyday from all over the globe.
i will be posting some more pictures on myspace tonight.
so much LOVE
